Chess is the game of kings
As the story goes, when chess was presented to a great king, the king offered the inventor any reward that he wanted. The inventor asked that a single grain of rice be placed on the first square of the chessboard. Then double amount of rice grains on ech of the next square. As there is 64 squares on the chessboard, you can count how many rice grains he gets – or find it on wikipedia.
When?
Live on Tuesday, February 16th 2021
Class will run from 9am EST (3pm Prague time) with a scheduled break for lunch/dinner.
This workshop is suitable for beginners, but also advanced clayers may find it interesting. It combines basic techniques together with designing of the figures. Although the chess normaly comes in black and white, here we can play also with the colours, make matching chessboard or design completely new game.
As there is 32 figures to make, it takes about 6 hours to finish the complete game. The online workshop may finish earlier. I will be available for later asks and requests by email or facebook.
